(Kazan City KZN.RU, September 12 , Albert Murtazin). Competition for the best sculpture for V.Aksenov garden is declared in the capital of Tatarstan. This was reported today by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at the opening of the renewed park.
According to Ilsur Metshin, the organizers allow the future participants to go beyond the scope - they have to decide what an art object it will be. "We would like to see this competition to go beyond Kazan, Tatarstan, and even Russia," - said the Mayor.
Ilsur Metshin expressed hope that next year, when the anniversary tenth festival “Aksenov Fest " will be held in Kazan, the residents and visitors will be able to see the already completed project.
Today, after extensive reconstruction square near the "Mir" cinema opened in Kazan. At the urging of friends of Kazan famous poet and writer Vasily Aksenov the updated square got the name "Aksenov Garden". Recall, literary and music festival is held in Kazan since 2007 - then the Mayor of Kazan offered to our compatriot, the famous writer Vasily Aksenov to celebrate his 75th anniversary in the capital of Tatarstan. Since 2008, it received the status of the annual festival.
