KZN.RU, September 12, Adelia Galieva). Kazan authors - poet Bulat Ibrahim and
writer Guzel Yakhina - were awarded the International Literary Prize "Star
Ticket-2015". Mayor of the capital of RT Ilsur Metshin attended the award
ceremony, which took place today in Kazan City Hall. The Mayor congratulated
the young writers and noted that "Star Ticket" can open them the way
to new successes.
Opening the
ceremony, Ilsur Metshin reminded that the awarding of "Star Ticket"
is the culminating event of the festival, which ends today in Kazan. "It
is already the ninth time we meet at Aksenov Fest to hand the "Star Ticket".
I am very pleased that we continue this tradition! The first awardees of the prize
have become known writers, many interesting works issues from their pen. This is
the witness that we have chosen the right path, I am very happy that today we
again note new young talents, "- he stressed the importance of the award
for young authors.
The Mayor
also said that Vasily Aksenov has always stood for the support of young people.
"Unfortunately, Vasily Pavlovich is not with us, but the traditions
established by him continuing," - said the Mayor, thanking trustees and
organizers of the festival, who are indifferent to V.Aksenov’s works and Kazan.
Award
winners were announced by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, writer Yevgeny
Popov and coordinator of the festival, a literary critic Irina Barmetova. Guests
of Kazan noted that "Anthology of the new Tatar poetry", released in
the frames of the festival thanks to the active support of Ilsur Metshin and
his commitment to Tatar literature was included in the all-Russian literature,
helped them to determine the name of the
first winner.
It is
because of "Anthology" board of trustees of the festival, which
includes the well-known Russian writers, critics and musicians, noticed the
talent of 25-year-old Kazan author Bulat Ibrahim and awarded him the prize in
the category "Poetry". "In his poems traditions of Tatar art of writing
with European versification miraculously combines ", - explained Irina
Barmetova.
The name of
the second winner is inextricably linked with the capital of Tatarstan - native
Kazan resident, novelist and screenwriter Guzel Yakhina won in the nomination
"Prose" for her novel "Zuleikha opens her eyes," which can
be called a declaration of love to the native city. "There are two main
characters in the book - repressed Tatar old woman Zuleikha and powerful image
of Kazan" - said I.Barmetova, urging to read the book and enjoy the
language of the author.
In addition
to the traditional figurines of the festival winners of award received a badge
with stylized self-portrait of V.Aksenov, the idea of it was an initiative of
the Mayor of Kazan.
Recall,
literary and music festival is held in Kazan since 2007 - then the Mayor of
Kazan offered to our compatriot, the famous writer Vasily Aksenov to celebrate
his 75th anniversary in the capital of Tatarstan. Since 2008, it received the
status of the annual festival.
Later Ilsur
Metshin proposed the establishment of the prize "Star Ticket" in the
frames of the festival "Aksenov Fest". The award is aimed at
identifying and promoting young talents in the field of literature and arts. A
feature of the award is its international status - the recipient of the award
may be a talented author from any corner of the Earth. In selecting the winners
the jury is focused not so much on already created works of a young author, but
rather on his potential ability to further developing of a bright talent.
Recall, winners of the "Star Ticket" became Kazan writers Denis
Osokin (prose) and Anna Russ (poetry), a Moscow writer Eugeniy Babushkin and
Armenian poet Harutyun Hovakimyan, Alexander Snegirev and Talgat Batalov.
