Mayor of Kazan met with the CEO of PJSC "Megaphone"

(Kazan City KZN.RU, August 3). Kazan should develop with time advancing, offering qualitatively new services and security for residents and businesses. Such an opinion was expressed by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin during a meeting with CEO of Public Joint Stock Company "Megafon" Ivan Tavrin. During the meeting the parties discussed the prospects for the use of infrastructure and solutions of company "Megaphone" in the framework of urban IT-projects.

High-tech and telecommunications in Kazan demonstrate positive dynamics of development annually. This is facilitated by a strategy implemented by the city Mayor's Office based on long-term mutually beneficial partnership with telecommunications and IT-companies. "We need to develop with time advancing, offering qualitatively new services and security for residents and businesses. That is why in Kazan large-scale projects in the sphere of housing and communal services and openness of information of power has already implemented ", - stressed Ilsur Metshin.

The city implemented projects "Open Kazan" and "Open Data Portal", features and the use of which is constantly expanding, and demands on the infrastructure, technical support, security and resiliency have increased with it. Today Kazan Municipality initiates the implementation of two important projects: analytical support for development of the area and the construction of a municipal information system "Safe City", which require tools such as geospatial data analysis and telecommunications infrastructure.

According to the head of the  city, the socio-economic development of Kazan requires a decision on the storage and use of huge amounts of data, producing relevant data on the composition and dynamics of the population. "Company "Megaphone" since the days of the Universiade-2013 has established itself as a reliable partner. And now, when there is a need for a particular service, we consider the use of infrastructure and the products of the operator as one of the possible solutions ", - said I. Metshin.

According to Ivan Tavrin, "Megaphone" has an extensive experience of working with government customers, placing the highest demands on the stage of the regional and federal programs. Some of these solutions are cloud-based services, and product Big Data, which includes the processing of vast amounts of information about the daily behavior of users. It allows solving various problems, up to the planning of urban infrastructure: data on the life of a metropolis is collected in real-time and helps predict far more accurately than any other model of market research. "We will be happy to use our facilities for the development of Kazan" - said Ivan Tavrin.

In conclusion, the parties have agreed on mutual cooperation in the implementation of urban projects for the public and business community of the city.
