July 14, Zilya Gayfi). Championship FINA-2015 provides Kazan a chance to
surpass the success of the Universiade. For 10 days before the start of the
competition readiness of food services, accommodation, transport and security
must be absolute. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected food and transport
services for the guests of the championship, located in the Village of
athletes.
During the
competition 1403 athletes and 540 non-resident volunteers will be living in the Village.
Three meals a day will be organized as a "buffet". For the
convenience of the athletes a seven-day menu booklet with information on the
caloric content of food was developed and will be posted on the bulletin
boards.
Now in food
points of the Villages the final preparations go on.
During the
inspection, the Mayor of Kazan visited the hall of the national and European
cuisine, as well as the areas for pasta and pizza and Russian-Tatar baking. On
the second floor there is a hall of Asian cuisine, and on the third floor - the
halal cuisine. Vegetarian, lactose-free, gluten-free and kosher food will be
provided in every area. Head of the city showed attention of Russian-Tatar zone
baking, decorated in the spirit of national traditions of hospitality.
"There is a sense of national flavor, there is no food yet, but I want to
eat here. It is equally important to show both the external surroundings and
internal content. We have to show not only the breadth of the soul and
hospitality, but also a variety of cuisine, "- said the Mayor.
In general,
with regard to food, Ilsur Metshin set a target to surpass the success of the
Universiade. " I remember rave reviews about the organization of supply came
from participants and trainers from different countries after the Universiade.
We need at least to repeat this success. Championship FINA-2015 gives us a
chance to surpass the success of the Universiade. Much work has already been
done, but the most important thing - I see the understanding of the
responsibility that we face in the eyes of the entire team, "- said the Mayor.
After
inspecting food items Ilsur Metshin passed to the cars park on to the electric
car. The route ran through the lounge area, where athletes can relax in their
free time. In the recreation area fountains, sculptures and benches were set, flower
were grown.
In the cars
park Mayor of Kazan was able to assess the readiness of the transport service for
guests - representatives of the International Swimming Federation and client
groups. The park has 183 new cars of three different models of the brand
«Lada». In addition, the bus park of the company "Petrel" was involved.
During the
inspection fleet Ilsur Metshin stressed that, despite the fact that Kazan will
take a huge amount of athletes, tourists and officials, the main guests of the
championship will be the residents of the city. Therefore, on behalf of the Mayor
during the FINA-2015 special transport services for spectators will be
organized.
Overall
Ilsur Metshin praised the level of readiness of the capital of Tatarstan to
receive guests of the championship. According to the head of the city, there are
all chances to meet championship in water sports at the highest level.
"Food, accommodation, transport and security are the main issues in
preparation for the final. Competitions are usually held the same everywhere,
and the city is remembered by people, kindness and service, "- said Mayor.
Recall, the
World Championships in Aquatics will be held in Russia for the first time. The
decision to hold the World Cup-2015 in Kazan was announced July 15, 2011 at the
General Congress of FINA, held in Shanghai - the city which hosted the World
Cup XIV FINA 2011. Apart from Kazan to host the competition claimed:
Guadalajara (Mexico), Hong Kong, Guangzhou (China) and Montreal (Canada).
It is
expected that the championship will be attended by 3,000 athletes from 190
countries and 6,000 visitors. For comparison: in the previous championship in
Barcelona were 2223 athletes from 177 countries. Multi-billion TV viewers will
see the World Championships in Aquatics. The rights to broadcast the World Cup on
TV were bought in 81 of the 107 countries of the world.
