A new maternity welfare clinic opened in Kazan

 (KZN.RU, December 23, Renat Shirmanov). Now 26,000 residents of the Sovetsky district can use the ultra-modern services of the maternity welfare clinic. Today the opening of the maternity welfare clinic attached to the out-patient clinic № 1has been held. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan and Airat Farrahov, the Health Minister took part in the ceremony.

 "There is little time before the New Year. We have gathered today in anticipation of this joyous celebration on occasion of the opening of the maternity welfare clinic which has been renovated. Our women have been using services of this clinic for a long time and they have been waiting for better conditions. I am very glad that we were able to meet our obligations. Let me remind you that such centers will be in every area of our city and they must be worthy of our women", Ilsur Metshin said.

The Minister of Health Care expressed in his turn his gratitude to the President of Tatarstan and the Mayor of Kazan for their support. "Thank you for the maternity welfare clinic. Despite the fact that the year was very hard but it was successful for health; two modern maternity welfare clinics were opened, a maternity home after reconstruction, several departments of vascular surgery and others. I want to express my gratitude to Rustam Minnikhanov, Ildar Khalikov and Ilsur Metshin for support. Thank you for the Five Years of Health program which has no analogues in Russia. The program that is intended for the next five years, inspires confidence and optimism", Airat Farrahov said.

Kazan Government allocated 18.2 billion for the full repair and equipment for maternity welfare clinics, including10,2 million rubles for construction works, 8 million rubles for medical equipment and furniture.

Ilsur Metshin and Airat Farrahov personally saw the repair, inspected rooms of obstetricians and gynecologists, the conference hall in which theoretical classes are held for expectant mothers, the operating unit equipped with modern endoscopic equipment, ultrasound office with the machine of expert class with the possibilities of three-dimensional images of fetus, day patient department with eight places and the laboratory where you can spend the whole range of tests.

The crown of the ceremony was the presentation of the Fiat keys to children’s clinics. New cars have been allocated to the city children’s clinics № 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 20, and to the children’s hospital №1 and to the children’s city clinical hospital № 7.
