76 war veterans were settled into new apartments
(KZN.RU, December 24, Renat Shirmanov). Today 76 veterans of World War II celebrated housewarming; another house in Kazan has been put under the Dwelling for Citizens program.
Ildar Khalikov, the Prime Minister and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan came to congratulate the veterans with the housewarming.
The Executive Committee of Kazan constantly provides war veterans with dwelling. Veterans of Tatarstan have an opportunity to purchase housing under the social mortgage program. However some of them wanted to buy housing on their own.
City officials decided to build four houses for the veterans. These are two 16-storey appartment buildings on the Dubravnaya Street, one building situated on the Zavoyskogo Street and another one is on the Br. Kasimovyh Street. In these buildings veterans buy housing under the Dwelling for Citizens program. Under the subsidy assistance program veteran receives 38 sq. m. without extra charge. If there is a difference in the floor space then it is paid in installments at 7% per annum and costs 24,800 rubles.
Today one of the multi-storey buildings has been put on the Dubravnaya Street, the construction of which has begun in the second quarter of 2010. In the one-section 16-story panel apartment building there are 96 apartments, 34 apartments of which are single-room, 30 apartments are one-bedroom, and 32 apartments are two-bedroom.
It is worth noting that the house is located very well for the war veterans. Literally within walking distance there is the Dom Veteranov board and care facility where a clinic and a social service situated. The Voshozhdeniye rehabilitation center situated trough two quarters which services the veterans can use; many of the veterans have varying degrees of disability.
Ildar Khalikov, the Prime Minister and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan have visited today the apartments in which Gadilya Fattakhova, the resident of besieged Leningrad and Vladimir Lavrentiev, the veteran of combat operations will live there. Ildar Khalikov and Ilsur Metshin supplemented their warmest congratulations with valuable gifts to veterans.
In the first quarter of the next year the nearby skyscraper will be put in which 70 veterans will receive.
