Republican Blood Center inaugurated in Kazan
(Kazan, KZN.RU, May 14). The Republican Blood Center was inaugurated at 85 Pr. Pobedy in Kazan. The event was attended by Russia's Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova, Deputy Minister of Health Ayrat Farrakhov, Assistant to the President on Social Affairs Tatiana Larionova, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, director of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) Vladimir Uiba and representatives of federal and republican ministries and departments.
The Republican Blood Center is a three-story building with a total area of 6.2 thousand square meters conforming to the European standards and existing sanitary rules and norms. The center has an efficient input and output control and donor movement logistics. The Center has state-of-the-art equipment, and all the main procedures are automated. The total funding of the project amounted to 880.8 m. rubles, 458 million having been allocated from the budget of the Russian Federation and 422.8 million rubles from that of the Republic of Tatarstan.
At the opening ceremony, Russia's Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova said that the Republican Blood Center in Kazan is one of the best in the country. She expressed gratitude to the leadership of Tatarstan for the implementation of the project. The minister addressed special thanks to the builders of the Center.
