Multilevel parking opens at 11 Chistopolskaya St. in Kazan

(Kazan KZN.RU, April 18, by Renat Shirmanov ) . Another multi-level parking conforming to the European standards has opened in Kazan. The new multi-storey car park awaits visitors at 11 Chistopolskaya St. Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin attended the grand opening of the object, noting that the introduction of new parking lots in Kazan  should improve the motorists’ culture.

Ilsur Metshin was told that the facility built on Chistopolskaya St. is not just a parking lot. In addition to the 645 parking spots, it houses a modern office center with retail space on the ground floor. In addition, it is the first parking fitted out with elevators.

First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee Rustam Nigmatullin said that so far 4,600 parking spaces have been created in the center of Kazan. In recent years, the city has opened 13 new parking lots, five of them - in the past year alone. This year, five more parking lots will be opened, which will increase the number of authorized parking spaces to 6,400. According to the deputy head of the Executive Committee, it meets European standards.

“The European standards we have, but we should just teach our drivers the European parking ethics. This is a thankless task, which is accompanied by a lot of criticism, but it's our job. Opening each new parking lot should become the next step in improving the culture of Kazan car owners, said Ilsur Metshin.
