(KZN.RU, May 31, by Renat Shirmanov) The shortage of green areas in Novo-Savinovsky district will be righted by creating a stretch of gardens, which in the next two years are planned to be laid out from the Kazanka waterfront to Victory Park along Absalyamov Street. This was announced by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, who inspected the work progress at the building sites of "Istanbul" park and that outside the new registrar's office building.
"Istanbul" is located at the intersection of Chistopolskaya and Absalyamova streets. A lawn equipped with a point watering system has already been laid there, trees and shrubs planted and footpaths laid. The main highlight of the new recreation area will be a lighted fountain, equipped with eight pumps. This will be the largest fountain in Kazan.
"Our goal is to create a stretch of public gardens, which will extend from the improved Kazanka waterfront to Victory Park along Absalyamov Street. I hope that by the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, we will have realized these plans. We should try to keep this area green, where residents of Novo-Savinovsky district could relax – walk with children, cycle and rollerblade," said the mayor of the capital of Tatarstan.
