The first 3-car tram starts running on route 5
(KZN.RU, May 7, by Irina Smirnova) The first three-car tram started running in Kazan on route 5. Its first passengers were President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin.
Recall that the longest streetcar route in Russia was launched last year on October 31. The route with 32 stops from "Solnechny Gorod" to the train station is 26.9 kilometers long.
The new Belarus-made streetcar has a modern heating system, low floors and sliding ramps for passengers with limited mobility. Its capacity is 240 passangers.
