Large-scale landscaping has begun on Yardem Boulevard on Serova Street. Plants will be planted around the lake, which will become the wonderful decoratiom of the boulevard. Now a walking area with decking along the shores is being created around it. It is planned to complete the work by the end of August. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of work, including the renovation of residential buildings in the neighborhood.
«This year, we are fully completing the fourth stage of landscaping at the Yardem Boulevard on Serova Street. This is an example of an integrated approach. The Our Yard program implemented with the support of the Rais of Tatarstan provides for the renovation of yards, and together with our partners, the Sibur company, we are completing the eco-rehabilitation of the lake. – Ilsur Metshin noted, - In the near future we also plan to complete the construction of a unique rehabilitation center with a swimming pool for people with disabilities. Thanks to the implementation of several programs and an integrated approach, people receive renovated boulevard and houses, while people with disabilities will have access to rehabilitation in a new center with a swimming pool, which has no analogues in the country».
The fourth stage of landscaping of the boulevard on Serova Street takes place along the lake.
Approximately 1,300 plants of 10 species will be planted there – calamus, cattail, reed, water lilies and others. These plants perform a cleansing function – they absorb pollutants and contribute water aeration. At the same time, decorative species such as water lilies will decorate the pond.
As many as 170 trees are planted in the park - willows, maples, poplars, birches, apple trees, as well as 2,800 flowers and 1,200 shrubs: geranium, acuminate weinberry, astrantia, cuff, wormwood, hydrangea, lilac, rose rose and others.
A wooden deck with a length of about 200 meters with viewing platforms is being built. Fences are installed around the perimeter of the lake, eliminating the risk of falling into the water. The project provides for the installation of 23 supports and about 150 built-in lamps. A closed cycle route is being built around the lake. A rippling effect will be provided at the lake– a stream of water flowing over rocks – created specifically for people with hearing impairments.
In addition to the ecological rehabilitation of the lake, comprehensive landscaping of the adjacent territory is underway. Fourteen apartment buildings located along Serova and Kulakhmetova streets have been included in the capital renovation program this year.
