A section of Mavlyutova Street is being renovated in the Privolzhsky city district under the “Infrastructure for Life” national project. This 1.1-kilometer section relieves the traffic on Richard Zorge Street and provides access to the City Clinical Hospital - 18. Mayor of Kazan inspected the progress of the repair work. To date, the capital repair program of the road network in Kazan is 50% completed.
“The renovation of Mavlyutova Street under the “Infrastructure for Life” national project allows unloading the traffic and providing a convenient access to the City Hospital - 18, –said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. –Today, the program for repairing the street and road network has confidently reached its halfway point, with 50 percent of the work completed. Construction workers keep a good pace at all 204 sites, from major highways to village streets, to ensure timely completion. However, they must ensure the quality of materials and adherence to technology, making Kazan a modern and convenient city for living.”
The repair work began on April 1, and is scheduled to be completed on August 30. The total renovated area is approximately 26,000 square meters. The project includes the laying of over 17,500 square meters of new asphalt, the repair of 1,000 square meters of sidewalks. A bicycle path will be created along the entire road.
The builders have completed almost half of the planned work. The main stages, such as milling the old pavement and laying the lower layer of asphalt on the roadway, have been completed. Presently, the workers are installing sidewalks, expanding parking areas near hospital, and installing lighting. The next steps include adjusting the height of the wells, laying the final layer of pavement, installing road signs, and installing fences.
The work is planned to be completed by September.
