In Kazan, the renovation works are carried out at 182 residential buildings included in the capital repair program. Today, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of work at 40 Mavlyutova St. in the Privolzhsky city district. About 350 people live in this five-storey building with eight entrances. The house was built in 1986 and this the first renovation in forty years.
“As of today, the renovation works are 70% completed. This year, almost 250 residential buildings will be renovated under the capital repair program, – Ilsur Metshin said in a conversation with a resident. – Despite all challenges, we have not suspended any program. With the support of the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the republican enterprises, we have the opportunity to carry out such large-scale work. Contractors are trying to complete the work by the Day of the City and the Republic”.
Renovation work started in April, and is planned to be completed by September, said Albert Salikhov, head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky city districts. The roof repair is almost completed, the dismantling and installation of roofing has been completed. Work is underway to paint the facade, repair the entrances, and restore the decoration of the balconies. Cold and hot water supply, sanitation and electricity supply systems are also being replaced.
In total, 248 apartment houses are included in the 2026 renovation program in Kazan. Of these, a regional operator repairs as many as 182 houses and work has already begun there: the roof, facade, heating system, entrances are being updated, elevators are being changed in eight houses. In 66 more houses, the owners finance the overhaul from their special accounts.
