The renovation of fronts of six apartment buildings opposite the new Galiaskar Kamal Theater is being completed in Kazan. The facades of the buildings have already been insulated, and now they are equipped with architectural lighting and stained glass windows. The apartment buildings were brought to a unified style with a new cultural space. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of the work.
“Thanks to the decision of the Rais of Tatarstan, such a beautiful theater was built here. It was a gift to both the residents of Kazan and cultural figures. Before that, we improved the courtyards of 24 residential buildings, where 7,000 residents reside. A new road was paved. Now the facades of six houses have been completely transformed. Such a unified approach for an entire block has made it almost unrecognizable,”- said Ilsur Metshin.
The architectural concept of the facades is made in style of the theater. It has light shades with golden accents, and in the evening, the renovated buildings are illuminated by architectural lighting with warm light.
Today, the renovation is 99% completed. According to contractor Marat Salyakhov, the project was finalized in terms of architectural solutions during the implementation process. For example, clinker bricks, which were originally planned to be used only outside, appeared in the interior decoration of the entrance groups.
Architectural lighting has become one of the key elements of the renovation. LED lines with warm light are installed under the balconies.
