Kazan Executive Committee team wins local government employee Spartakiad
(KZN.RU, December 2, by Taisiya Basharkina) The final round of the Spartakiad among employees of local municipal and urban district governments of the Republic of Tatarstan was summed up at Kazan Tennis Academy.
First place in the team event went to the Kazan Executive Committee team, headed by Mayor Ilsur Metshin. It should be noted that the Executive Committee of Kazan team showed good results in five out of eight events (chess, weight lifting, track and field, indoor soccer and volleyball).
It will be recalled that the Spartakiad finals were held in Kazan November 30 to December 2 and gathered more than 700 participants from across the republic. The competitions were held in indoor soccer, weight-lifting, chess, checkers, badminton, volleyball, table tennis and track and field.
