Kovalchuk TEAM and Morozov TEAM score 13 goals each

(KZN.RU, August 26, by Renat Shirmanov) Teams of the famous players Ilya Kovalchuk and Alexei Morozov drew 13 -13 in Kazan. The Kovalchuk TEAM vs. the Morozov TEAM played for the benefit of the “From the Pure Heart” charity. Ice hockey veterans, leading political figures, popular artists and businessmen played alongside the star captains.

The Kovalchuk TEAM included legendary players Evgenii Malkin, Pavel Datsyuk, Vyacheslav Fetisov, Alexei Kasatonov, as well as SKA hockey club chairman Gennady Timchenko, deputy head of the secretariat of the First Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Plutnik and hockey veterans Alexander Zhdanov, Sergei Zolotov Sergei Vyshedkevich.

President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, deputy speaker of the State Duma Andrei Vorobyov, deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliev, Minister of Sports of the Moscow region Amir Gallyamov, head of Tatarstan’s Federal Tax Service Marat Safiullin, Tatarstan’s Minister of Economy Midhat Shagiakhmetov and Kazan hockey veterans Yevgenii Zakharov, Alexei Chupin, Vyacheslav Makarov, Almaz Garifullin Linar Nasybullin played for Alexei Morozov's team.

This year, all the benefit matches are held in memory of Yaroslavl’s Locomotive team hockey players, who died in a plane crash in September last year. All funds raised during the games, will be directed to help their families. In Kazan, the participants collected more than 17 million rubles. Another 5 million rubles will be spent on Tatarstan children in serious need of medical care.
