This year, nine
public spaces are planned to be improved in Kazan. In total, more than 941
million rubles have been allocated for the improvement of public spaces this
year, including 405.4 million rubles from the federal budget, 535.7 million
rubles from the republican budget. Deputy Head of the Executive Committee Igor
Kulyazhev announced this today at the Business Monday meeting.
“Almost all sites
that we will improve this year are away from the city center. This shows that
all central parks and squares have been already improved in Kazan. We discuss all
social projects with residents to get their feedback. We appreciate their proactive
position,”- said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the city.
This year, one
of the key improvement projects is the construction of the first park in the
Salavat Kupere district. Work began last year. Lighting elements and a video
surveillance system were installed, paving stone was emplaced, and workers
carried out a comprehensive landscaping of the territory.
This year,
children's and sports equipment, small architectural forms and a pump track
will be installed in the park. In addition, the territory of the lake will be
landscaped, a fountain will be installed, a dog walking area and a public
garden will be equipped, I.Kulyazhev noted.
The improvement
of the park “Maloe Chaikovoye Lake”, which is located near the City Clinical Hospital
-7 in the Novo-Savinovsky district, will be completed this year. Last year, the
lake was cleaned and the surrounding area has been landscaped. This year, the
park will be equipped with small architectural forms and way finding elements,
additional landscaping will be carried out and an automatic irrigation system
will be installed.
It is planned to
start landscaping the territory of the Big Blue Lake, the work will be carried
out under the project of creation of the Mirrors of Tatarstan ecological zone.
In particular, work is planned to strengthen the shore of the waterfall on the
Big Blue Lake. The wooden bridge, which is in a poor condition, will be
replaced.
This year, work
will begin on the reconstruction of one of the oldest parks in Kazan – the
Fisherman's Garden. At the first stage, the vertical layout of the territory
will be changed without harming the existing landscaping in order to avoid
flooding of sidewalks and playgrounds during spring snowmelt, summer and autumn
heavy rains. In addition, new cast-iron lanterns will be installed in the park
and decorative illumination of trees will be provided.
Also this year,
it is planned to renovate the park of the 100th anniversary of the formation of
the construction industry of the republic, which is located on Karbysheva
Street. “The works include the repair of the fountain and landscaping of the adjacent
territory, - I.Kulyazhev said. – A modern multi-jet fountain will be placed on
the water surface of the bowl. In winter, the fountain will transform into an
ice rink, on which it is planned to install a New Year’s tree”.
The construction
of another large park area will begin along the Noksa River. The construction will
be carried out in several stages. This year, work will begin on the territory
from the Leto residential complex to school No.184. “In the future, the park
will be combined with other park territories along the Noksa River – from the
existing park at the Vesna residential complex to the park at the Green
residential complex”, - I.Kulyazhev reported.
In the
historical part of the city, the reconstruction of Yunusovskaya Square is planned,
which has become a special place of recreation for citizens in the Old Tatar
settlement. “The basis of the landscaping concept will be the creation of a
blooming garden for quiet relaxation, in which small architectural forms will
be installed”, - I.Kulyazhev noted.
In addition, it
is planned to replace the equipment on sports grounds and the covering of
pedestrian paths in two squares – on the Alley of Veterans of the Great
Patriotic War in the Azino-1 district and in the square on Akademika Parina Street,
landscaped in 2015-2016.
