Today, as part of the work of the anti-crisis headquarters, Kazan Mayor
Ilsur Metshin visited Kazancompressormash plant, where he got acquainted with
the work of the company during the period of economic sanctions. The main
topics of the meeting with the management were issues of sustainability, the
pace of modernization, import substitution and increase in jobs – today the
company employs over 1,700 people.
Ilnur Sagdiev,
Managing Director of Kazancompressormash, accompanied the head of the city. He
showed I. Metshin the territory of the plant, and the work of the assembling
shop. Ilnur Sagdiev noted that the plant is one of the systemic companies of
Kazan, which activities are practically not affected by economic sanctions. Two
years ago, the plant almost completely switched to import substitution, and the
main products manufactured by the enterprise are aimed at the Russian market. “The
company is constantly upgrading equipment. In the near future, the company
plans to expand the foundry and turbo-expander production”, - he told the
Mayor.
The company
produces centrifugal, rotary screw, turbo-expanding, integrally geared
compressors and various components, including gas turbine engines and
multipliers. The company's products are used in the gas, oil, chemical, mining
industries, as well as in metallurgy and power engineering.
Today, the
company operates around the clock in three shifts. The main supplies of
components and raw materials are purchased from domestic companies. The demand
for products during the economic blockade continues to increase. In 2020 and
2021, the plant manufactured goods worth more than 27 billion rubles. “The
company consistently and punctually pays salaries to employees, while there is
a need for new qualified specialists,”- Ilnur Sagdiev added. Due to the
expansion of production, the plant needs about 100 specialists, including
assemblers and machine operators.
I.Metshin highly
appreciated the success of the plant in establishing the workflow.
Kazancompressormash is an example of successful implementation of import
substitution. The management has done a lot of work in the replacement of
import components, and today the plant receives orders from Russian companies
for several years ahead. The company confidently looks to the future and all
employees have confidence in the future”, – the Mayor noted.
Earlier, as part
of the work of the anti-crisis headquarters, the Mayor of the city held two
round tables with the participation of representatives of shopping centers,
large food industry enterprises and retail chains. The head of the city also
visited Nefis Cosmetics, Danilovskaya Manufactory and the Department of Food
and Social Nutrition of Kazan.
