The second stage
of the construction of the Voznesensky tract has begun in Kazan. On the section
from Pobedy Avenue to the M7 Volga highway with a length of 8 km, the construction
of bypass roads, an underground passage and bridges has begun. At the same time,
as part of the first stage, interchanges, underground passages, reconstruction
of storm sewers and excavation works for the construction of the main road are
being built on the section from Gvardeyskaya Street to Pobedy Avenue with a
length of 4 km.
The traffic on
the Voznesensky Tract is planned to launch in October – on the first section
from Gvardeyskaya Street to Rodina Street. All work on the first stage is
planned to be completed in 2023. This was reported to the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur
Metshin at the construction site by Igor Kulyazhev, Deputy head of the
Executive Committee of the city. At the same time, it is planned to open direct
traffic along Gvardeyskaya Street and Pobedy Ave., closing bypass roads. The readiness of interchanges and underground passages is 50-70%.
“All work is on
schedule, even slightly ahead. Voznesensky tract is one of the most important
roads in the existing transport system of Kazan. This highway will
significantly relieve the road network, including the Mamadyshsky tract”, - the
head of the city noted. He checked the progress of work at the intersection of
Voznesensky tract and Pobedy Avenue, where construction of the second stage began.
“Now a bypass
road is being prepared at the intersection with Fuchik Street and at the
intersection with the M7 Volga highway, construction of an underground
pedestrian crossing, bridges over the Noksa and Krutovka rivers is also underway”,
- I.Kulyazhev said. As work continues on the construction of the second line of
the Kazan metro, the work schedules of both projects are combined.
Along with the
work on the second stage, construction is underway on the first section of the
Voznesensky tract. The project provides for a road from Gvardeyskaya Street to
Pobedy Avenue with a length of almost 4 km and a width of 13-17 meters, three
lanes in each direction. This site is planned to be equipped with bike paths,
storm drains, the width of sidewalks will be 2.2-4.5 m.
Preparations are
underway to fill the upper part of the tunnel at the site at the intersection
with Pobedy Ave. “On April 20, it is planned to start pouring, and by April 24,
the work will be completed”, - Igor Kulyazhev said.
I.Metshin emphasized
that construction industry is essential for the successful development of any
city. “We continue to implement all our key programs and projects planned for
this year. Such construction projects are the best example of anti-crisis
measures, - the mayor noted. - Working here, people have a stable salary and
confidence in the future. It is very important that tower cranes and other
construction equipment continue to work in Kazan. Tatarstan is still a region attractive
for investments”.
For reference,
the construction of the Voznesensky tract began last summer. The construction
of the highway is carried out in two stages.
