The kindergarten No.126 will open after the overhaul on Tunakova Street, 53a
in the Moskovsky district of Kazan by the beginning of the school year. Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of the city, got acquainted with the progress of work in the
facility, which was built almost 80 years ago.
“This year, 15 preschools are being renovated under the overhaul program.
This means improving of conditions for 2 thousand children. They will get renovated
classes, canteens, medical offices and, of course, playgrounds, - the head of
the city noted. - Since 2010, we have already overhauled 66 kindergartens, but
there is still a lot of work to be done, it is very important to improve
conditions for young Kazan residents”, - the Mayor said.
A combined kindergarten No.126 with the Tatar language of education is
located in two buildings on Vosstaniya, 44a and Tunakova, 53a streets. The
second one was built in 1943 by German prisoners. Previously, the kindergarten was
owned by the Kazan Motor-building Production Association, now it is owned by
the municipality.
After renovation, there will be 3 groups in the two-story building with an
area of 455.2 square meters, according to the project, the building is designed
for 60 pupils. The kindergarten will be polylingual.
Currently, the overhaul has been completed by 25%. Now the builders are
engaged in dismantling works, renovating the roof, filling the concrete base of
the floors and warming the facade. During the work, outdated utilities will be
replaced, as well as the ventilation system. Ilsur Khismatullin, first deputy
head of the administration of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts, said that
it is planned to improve the territory of the kindergarten – there will be 3
playgrounds.
It is planned to complete the works in September 2021. Almost 47.3 million
rubles were allocated for the overhaul of the building.
