(KZN.RU, February 26, Ksenia Shvetsova). Last year, 68 healthcare facilities were repaired in Kazan. However, according to polls, many citizens remain dissatisfied with the quality of medical care. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, said this today at the meeting of the XXXII session of the Kazan City Duma in the City Hall. He instructed to more closely work out the appeals of citizens related to the issues of medical services, as well as to strengthen the work on the training of medical staff.
Thanks to the republican program, Kazan has made a huge step forward in renovating the buildings of medical institutions over the past year. In total, 1 billion 665 million rubles were allocated for the repair of healthcare facilities in the capital of the republic. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, thanked the President of the RT for the program. Its implementation of it helps to improve the conditions for the provision of medical services to Kazan citizens. The head of the city added that medical facilities are being provided with new equipment in parallel with the repair of buildings.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that in addition to polyclinics, the overhaul should be carried out in urban hospitals. At the same time, a number of other problems remain unresolved, he noted. “We have repaired so many objects, but 46% of Kazan residents are dissatisfied with the quality of medical care. Such investments have been made, and as a result, medicine does not match them”, said R. Minnikhanov. “We need to work very carefully with staff, to increase the requirements”.
