Zapadnoye Zarechye district to set new urban development trend

(KZN.RU, November 14, by Elena Chembaeva). In 2012, it is planned to build 252 thousand square mmeters of housing space under the low-interest mortgage program. This was stated by first deputy head of the Urban Planning Policy Board Azat Nigmatzyanov.

In the coming years, it is planned to start developing a number of areas. Thus, in the Republican Clinical Hospital area it is intended to construct four houses totaling 365 apartments. 3,900 apartments with a total area of 240 thousand square meters will be built in the village of Yudino. A building plan has been prepared for the Podametevskaya residential area at the intersection of Rotornaya and Podametevskaya streets for 60 thousand 595 square meters of housing space; this amounts to three houses with a total of 905 apartments. Also, according to the Board first deputy head, Russia’s state housing authority has announced a new competition to design a layout of the Salavat Kupere residential area in the village of Zalesny.

Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin emphasized the importance of low-interest mortgage housing in Yudino noting that such mortgages not only help solve the housing problem but also promote territorial development of the city.

According to the mayor, Salavat Kupere district should become the trend-setter. "We want to create a place where people will want to live; it will have not only a complete social infrastructure - kindergartens, schools, hospitals, cultural and sporting facilities - but also beautiful architecture that will not oppress residents with height and volume. We should not only provide housing for Kazan residents but also create a comfortable environment. We are confident that with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan we can implement this project," said Ilsur Metshin.
