Parents of Kazan schoolchildren pass the GTO standards together with children

(KZN.RU, March 13). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, supported the participants of the festivals Great Family Games: “GTO vsey semiey” and “Bez Berge”, which are taking place today at school №181 of the Sovetsky district of Kazan.

The multi-profile school for 1224 places opened on September 1, 2017, now 843 Kazan students are trained in it from the 1st to the 8th grade. Classes for preschool children, sports and cultural events are on its base, the center of badminton operates. Demand for admission to the school is growing. In the future academic year, it is planned to open simultaneously the first six classes.

Rustam Minnikhanov visited the canteen, the exhibition of arts and crafts, the photo exhibition “My Russia”, the festivals “Bez Berge”, and the Great Family Games: “GTO vsey semiey”. The latter is organized in educational institutions of Tatarstan within the framework of the winter festival of the All-Russia physical culture and sports complex “Gotov k Trudu I Oborone” (GTO). For the first time, in addition to the students themselves, their parents take part. Teams pass the GTO standards on swimming, long jump, pull-up, ski races, air rifle shooting, and other disciplines. The President of the RT supported this initiative and encouraged parents to be more actively involved in the process. “We watched children with their parents participate in sports competitions, create exhibitions”, he said. “And this is important because our younger generation is brought up on the example of parents”.

The head of the republic called the school №181 beautiful. He noted that many efforts are being made in Tatarstan to strengthen the material and technical base of educational institutions, modern methods of teaching and advanced technologies are used. “We can inherit the building, the house, the money but the most valuable is knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to give a good education to our children”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Office of the President of the RT, Leila Fazleeva, the deputy prime minister of the RT, Rafis Burganov, the deputy prime minister of the RT and the minister of Education and Science of the RT, Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetsky district administration, Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head of the Department of Education of Kazan, and others also took part in the event, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
