December 18). Today, the gas distribution station “Bogorodskoe” and the
reconstructed gas pipeline “Minnibaevo-Kazan” on the 220-285 km section were
put into operation in the Pestrechinsky district of Tatarstan. Thanks to this,
gas supplies to Kazan will grow to 4 billion cubic meters per year, reports the
press service of the President of the RT.
The
investment project was implemented by the PAO “Gazprom”. The reconstruction
works started in 2010, more than 12 billion rubles was spent. At the first
stage, more than 61 km of the main gas pipeline was replaced, the measuring
node was built, on the second one, two more sections of the gas pipeline were
built, as well as the main gas regulating station and the gas distribution
station “Bogorodskoe”, which is considered to be one of the largest in the
Volga Federal District.
Due to the
reconstruction of the gas pipeline, hazardous production facilities will be
taken out of Kazan. In particular, it is planned to close GDS-1 in Vosnesenie
village. According to experts, the supply of network gas as a whole will be
increased to 5.25 billion cubic meters per year, including up to 4 billion
cubic meters in Kazan.

Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Ruslan
Distanov, the head of the Department for GDS Operation and Gas Facilities of
the PAO “Gazprom”, Rafkat Kantyukov, the general director of the “Gazprom
Transgaz Kazan”, and others took part in the event.
In his
welcoming speech, the President of the RT noted that Tatarstan received a
reserve for gas supply for the next 50 years due to the reconstruction of the
gas pipeline.
“Thanks to
the implementation of this project, Kazan has the opportunity to further expand
housing construction”, said the head of the republic. “Gas has already entered
Gildeevo, where more than 500 houses are built, including for large families”.
