New Tatar high school for girls opens in Kazan on the Day of Knowledge

(KZN.RU, September 2, by Taisiya Basharkina). Another educational institution opened on the Day of Knowledge in Kazan: a new building of Tatar school No. 12 for girls. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin came to greet the first-graders.
In the words of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, such schools are needed in our country, where the Tatar youth elite should be educated.
The new building is located on Dekabristov Street. The school can accommodate 240 students. Thirty girls have started school while 210 have moved from the old building located at 26 Tukay Street. The old building of the gymnasium, which had been functioning since 1993, did not comply with modern educational standards.
The new building includes a gym, a 1,040 square meter swimming pool, a sewing workshop, a culinary room, a dance studio, a library and a medical center.
All classrooms have Internet access, multimedia boards and projectors.
In the school courtyard, there are playgrounds and a small park with a lake.
