The winners of the republican contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak Chechekler” were awarded in Kazan

(KZN.RU, June 16). The solemn awarding of the winners of the 10th republican contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak Chechekler-2017” was held today in Kazan at the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil.

Before the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov together with Ilsur Metshin and Adel Vafin, the Minister of Health of the RT, viewed an improvised exposition of archival photographs and documents, telling about the history of healthcare in the republic. The exposition was launched in the theater hall.

“We have a good tradition of summing up the results of the “Ak Chechekler” competition before the Day of the Medical Worker. This year, we hold the competition for the tenth time. The best of the best are awarded the “doctor of the year” title”, said the head of the republic. “I want to thank you for your work, for what profession you have chosen. The life of a person depends on you! Nobody can help a person except you”.

R. Minnikhanov noted that many programs, related to the strengthening of the medical industry, are being implemented in the republic. This year, a new program was launched: the decision was made to fix all polyclinics up within two years, and there are 197 facilities. “We are building facilities for the primary link in cities and districts. Much is being done in strengthening the material and technical base and enhancing professional skills”, marked the President. “We can build and buy everything but we will not be able to provide qualified and professional medical care without trained personnel”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

The President gave state awards to representatives of the healthcare sector (a medal “For Valiant Labor”, “Honored Doctor of the Republic of Tatarstan” and the Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan).

In 2017, the contest is held for the tenth time. Heads of healthcare institutions, doctors, medical workers, veterans of the industry, and others became its winners in different years. Annually, one of the winners receives the car as the main prize.

This year, 146 applications were submitted for participation in the contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak Chechekler”. The following nominations are presented in the contest: “Doctor of the Year”, “Unique Case”, “Medical Worker of the Year”", “Legend of Healthcare”, and “Best Doctor of Primary Care”.

The winner of the 10th National Contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak Chechekler-2017”" in the nomination “Legend of Healthcare” was Raisa Guslyakova, the deputy head doctor of the RCH. The award in the nomination “The Best Medical Worker” was given to Guliya Zakirova, the nurse of the Pathology of Newborn and Premature Children Department of the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital. “Best Doctor of Primary Care” was Elena Golubitsina, the head of the substation №8 of the ambulance station in Kazan. The award in the category “Unique Case” was given to the group of doctors from Naberezhnye Chelny Emergency Hospital, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

The doctor of the year was Igor Malkov, the head of the surgery department of the Kazan State Medical Academy.
