I. Metshin: “The hotel management is well prepared for the Confederations Cup”

(KZN.RU, June 7, Anton Nozdrin). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the readiness of city hotels for the arrival of client groups and participants of the Confederations Cup in football 2017. 

The Mayor visited the “Ramada Kazan” hotel (Chernyshevsky Street, №39). Khadzhimurat Gazaliev, the director, and Tatiana Ilchenko, the general manager informed the Mayor that the guestroom inventory includes 157 rooms for 314 persons. There is also a fitness center and a gym, a conference room, and a convenient parking lot.

The head of the city inspected the rooms, in which the players will live. The Mayor paid special attention to the view from the windows. He noted that it is necessary to improve the adjacent grounds: paint the roofs, fences, repair the facades of neighboring buildings. The Mayor of Kazan instructed Andrei Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovskiy and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, to work out this issue.

The guestroom inventory of the “DoubleTree by Hilton” hotel (Chernyshevsky Street, №21) includes 93 rooms for 150 people, according to Alfia Minnizyanova, the acting director. There is a restaurant, a 24-hour fitness center, and a meeting room. The Mayor noted that it is also necessary to put in order the facades of adjacent buildings and the territory, including removing construction debris.

I. Metshin also inspected the suites in the “Park Inn by Radisson” hotel (Lesgaft Street, №7). Vladimir Orlov, the general manager, said that the hotel capacity is 274 persons. There is a fitness center, 4 multipurpose meeting rooms with natural light, and free access to high-speed wireless Internet for the guests. Mass arrivals to the hotel are expected on June 10.

“Accommodation, food, and service are one of the components of the hospitality program, which stays in mind. This is what creates the first impression”, marked I. Metshin. The Mayor noted that a huge amount of work has been done to prepare guestroom inventory of the city. “The hotel management is well prepared for the Confederation Cup”, said the Mayor of Kazan. "We must finish this in the remaining days. The tasks are set for us all, and we will fulfill them”, concluded I. Metshin.

The hotels “Mirage Hotel” and “Bilyar Palace” are also provided for accommodation of Confederations Cup’s participants. In total, there are 179 hotels operating in the city including hostels with 7300 rooms. Their total capacity is 16600 persons. According to preliminary data, the average load of hotels for the period of the tournament will be 70%.

The capital of Tatarstan will receive 4 matches of the Cup. On June 18 at 6 pm, the match between Portugal and Mexico; on June 22 at 9 pm, the match between the national teams of Germany and Chile; on June 24 at 6 pm, match between Mexico and Russia; on June 28 at 9 pm, the semifinal match of the Cup. All matches will be held at the stadium “Kazan Arena”.
