November 1, Alsou Safin, Mikhail Chentsov). Alexei Sokolov was appointed the
head of the Interior Ministry of Russia in Kazan; he had previously held a
similar position in Naberezhnye Chelny. Artem Hohorin, the Minister of Internal
Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan,
introduced the new head to the Department staff today.
“We have a
prepared employee, which first started as baseman, with operational work and
then led one of the most complex and large units of the Interior Ministry of
Tatarstan - the Department of Internal Affairs of Naberezhnye Chelny. There is
everything to maintain continuity”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan,
commenting on the appointment of Sokolov.
Artem
Hohorin said that Alexei Sokolov was born in Zainsk, and he served from 1994 to
2011, having risen from the detective branch of the Criminal Investigation
Department to the first deputy head – the head of the criminal police
department of Zainsk municipal district. He headed the Chistopol Department of
the Interior for three years, from September 2013 – the Management of Internal
Affairs in Naberezhnye Chelny. “Much has been done over the years by garrisons
under his guidance, so there is no doubt in his business qualities”, marked
Artem Hohorin.
The Mayor
reminded that one of the 12 priority areas of Kazan development is the safe
city, and wished success to the new head of the Internal Affairs of Kazan on
the way to this goal.
Artem
Hohorin introduced the new Head of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kazan Kazan to
deputies at the today’s session in the Kazan State Duma.
The Mayor
gave one of the highest the city awards “For faultless service to Kazan” to
Valery Krasilnikov, who led the department during the previous four years.
Ilsur Metshin on behalf of deputies, city leaders and citizens of Kazan thanked
him for his collaboration. “Protection of public order is one of the most
challenging sectors of our urban economy”, said the Mayor. “These four years
are golden pages of Kazan history in saturation and the number of what was made
with the Department of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs”.
Ilsur Metshin reminded the preparation and holding of the Universiade 2013,
which was recognized as a model in terms of public order.
“2537
events took place during this period in Kazan. None of them passed without the
protection of public order”, marked the Mayor of Kazan. “Valery Krasilnikov was
always in the thick, we had not allowed violations of public order whatever
public events were held. This shows the high level of our personnel, the
Department of the Interior and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan”,
he said.
Valery
Krasilnikov, who has decided to complete the service in the bodies of internal
affairs, expressed his gratitude for the cooperation, as well as the hope and
confidence that Kazan will continue to prosper, and the Kazan police garrison
will not fail the city.
