I. Metshin inspected the new line of semi-finished production at the combine of social supply

(KZN.RU, October 20, Anton Nozdrin). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the Department of Food and Social Supply of the city, where he inspected a new line of production of frozen semi-finished products, which capacity is up to 30 thousand servings of meat products per shift, and met with the staff of the enterprise. The Mayor also congratulated the staff of the Department on the International Day of the Cook.

Guzel Ananieva, the general director of the Department, said that the new equipment allows producing of 30 thousand servings of meat products in 12 hours. Only 14 men service a new line, while 50 men would have been required to perform the work manually. G. Ananieva said that the released employees redirected to other production sites. Launching of the new line will reduce the product weight loss during heat treatment by 10-15%, whereas previously this number was 20%. “The new line will significantly facilitate the work of plant employees and increase the range of products”, said G. Ananieva.

I. Metshin thanked the staff for their work. “You are the people who know the value of each piece of bread. I want to thank you on behalf of all the people you feed delicious, daily and qualitatively”, I. Metshin addressed to the cooks.

He reminded that Kazan has the highest percentage of coverage of hot meals in schools among the Russian capitals. The Mayor also said that the level of children diseases has decreased in many positions, and this is clearly linked to nutrition. “You have a great social responsibility to the city, parents, and children. Healthy generation of Kazan and Tatarstan grows thanks to your professionalism”, marked I. Metshin.

Employees of the Department thanked the Mayor of Kazan for his interest in their company and marked the importance of modernization. “We started out with manual labor. And now everything is automated. Calluses are gone”, said cooks in jest. They also noted the stability of work during the conversation with the Mayor. “The salary issue is always on time, there is no problem. It is nice to work here”, said one of the cooks.

I. Metshin noted the importance of a personnel question. “Personnel decide everything. And I'm glad that your boss pays attention not only to technology, but also to the staff. We will support her in this”, he said. The Mayor of Kazan also noted that thanks to the support of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, the department has the opportunity to develop and provide high quality services to residents of the republic and its capital.

Evgeny Varakin, the head of the Office of the Kazan Executive Committee, Andrei Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts administration, also attended the event.

The Department of Food and Social Supply of Kazan was established in 2006 to improve the level of organization of power in budgetary institutions, improve student nutrition, preservation and strengthening of health of children, prevention of diseases, as well as for the immediate implementation of the city program “Healthy Eating for Children”, aimed at improving the supply organization in schools. Today, plants of Kirovsky, Aviastroitelny and Privolzhsky districts, the nutrition plant, the children milk food, the complex of food warehouses, the specialized fleet of vehicles in the amount of 53 units, and the production base are the responsibility of the Department. The supply plant provides a daily 5 tons of vegetable semi-finished products, including more than 1 ton of high availability (shredded), 4 tons of fine-grained meat (sliced) and minced meat, 500 kg of meat dumplings, 17,000 pieces of semi-finished meat, fish and poultry, more than 20,000 pieces of pastry, 20,000 pieces of confectionery, food for the clock supply of 10 health facilities on 15 diet-table menu for 4200 patients, dishes for lunch and breakfast of 42,000 students in 81 city schools.
