Little patients of CRCH were visited by "superheroes" and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin

(Kazan City KZN.RU, 1 June). Today in the Republican Children's Hospital a holiday dedicated to International Children's Day was held. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin congratulated little patients, and "superheroes" - industrial climbers, dressed in costumes of the characters of popular cartoons and movies – came down from the roof on the ropes to the windows of kids, who are not yet able to leave their beds. During the visit of CRCH the draft of the future rehabilitation center, which construction will start this year, was presented to head of the city.

As the chief doctor of the hospital Rafael Shavaliev told, rehabilitation center will be built on the basis of private-public partnership and will include 108 hospital beds and 110 beds of day stay. "It will provide medical assistance to all major destinations. Such a large-scale project in the structure of the multidisciplinary clinic will be implemented for the first time in Russia" - R.Shavaliev said and added that the hospital already has the necessary diagnostic resources, and specialists are being trained.

Then Ilsur Metshin visited several hospital departments and personally wished young patients health. He went to see a girl who was seriously injured in August last year as a result of an accident at the time when she were making selfi on the road bridge and is still being treated in hospital. The Mayor expressed his wholehearted support for the girl, who underwent 19 complex operations, talked to her gave her and gave her a boom box.

Then the Mayor spoke to lodgers of charitable hotel "Ronald McDonald House", where the relatives of the children receiving prolonged treatment in CRCH stay. Note, Kazan is the only city in Russia, where today such a project is implemented. "Ronald McDonald House" consists of 24 bedrooms for the children and their parents, living room, game room for kids, games room for teenagers, computer room, kitchen, dining room and laundry room, bathrooms, office premises, as well as areas of reception of guests.

Here special attention is paid to maintaining a favorable atmosphere, considering it as a part of the rehabilitation of children, affecting the recovery. Recently"Magic Room" appeared there and immediately became the most popular room in the hotel. The essence of this project lies in the fact that when you check into a hotel, the child may come into the room and choose any favorite toy. Children, forgetting about the doctors and the hospital, look at colorful toys with interest.

Parents of kids thanked I. Metshin for the fact that they have the opportunity to be close to their children in the most difficult moments, while being not in hospital rooms, almost at home. "For this project you need to say thanks to our partner Khamzat Khasbulatov, who three years ago helped us to realize it, and all who contributed to the development of the "Ronald McDonald House". Since the opening of the house, it was visited by more than three thousand families from all over the republic, and it is a serious figure. It is important that people can get not only financial but also moral support", - I. Metshin said to parents and wished them strength of spirit, and speedy recovery to their children.

Director of the "Ronald McDonald House" Julia Markova said the governor about plans to hold a charity concert of Tatar pop stars in Kazan and other cities of the republic in order to collect funds for the hotel guests. The Mayor proposed to begin a series of concerts in Kazan, he has promised to support the project and to come personally to the concert.

On the territory of CRCH another innovation is also planned to be introduced - as a sign of attention to the health of mother and child protection in the Republic of Tatarstan, the embodiment of hope for the future and the continuation of life sculpture, symbolizing motherhood and childhood, will be installed here. Mayor got acquainted with several sketches and ordered to organize a competition in which the best option by the sculpture will be determined.

The Mayor noted that the hospital uses the latest technologies, the best equipment, thanks to which therapists help children, and thanked Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov for his attention to the health care in the republic and its capital.

"Let your children leave the walls of the hospital as soon as possible, let them grow up healthy and delight you with their well-being, - I. Metshin addressed to the parents of patients. - Children are the most precious thing we have, so we will do everything possible for them". I. Metshin handed a letter of thanks to the staff of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital and said that professionalism and responsibility of hospital staff plays a crucial role in the recovery of children.

"Work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week requires a lot of commitment. We understand how important it is to provide assistance, regardless of the situation, and implement work in the mission - taking care of each child. Thank you for your evaluation of our work, we promise that we will always work for the good of our republic", - R.Shavaliev said.

A festive program with concerts, competitions, entertainments was prepared for patients and their parents.

Children's Republican Clinical Hospital is one of Russia's largest children's hospitals. In 2015, 34467 children living in Tatarstan, 854 patients from other regions of Russia, 38 children from the countries of near and far abroad received treatment in CRCH. Emergency assistance is provided 7 days a week for all profiles and areas of medical care, including newborns.
