Ilsur Metshin met with representatives of charity funds and organizations of Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, 17 March, Zilya Gayfi). Today in the City Hall a round table with the participation of the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and heads of 13 city and republic charities and organizations was held. Following the meeting a number of decisions were adopted, including the establishment of a working group on philanthropy with the funds themselves, the media and municipal authorities, organizations of a single online platform for charities and the relay of good deeds of between Kazan districts.

Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, opening the meeting, outlined the crucial role of non-governmental organizations to the implementation of the concept of "Good City" - one of the twelve priorities of Kazan in the next five years.

"We set ourselves the goal for the next five years to become one the most comfortable, convenient for accommodation and kind city. We cannot do this without charity, philanthropy. There are patrons in the history of Kazan, whose actions showed that the charity - it's not always money and other tangible assets, above all, it is acts of kindness, attention and compassion. These qualities unite people around trouble, difficult situations in life,"- said the Mayor.

Speeches of the participants of the round table showed how wide the front of their work is. Among their beneficiaries - families with many children and poor families, orphans, the disabled, single mothers, the elderly, the homeless.

In particular, the social organization of foster families of Kazan "We are together" is engaged in the in foster care for children and adolescents with special needs. According to the chairman of the organization Tatyana Stepanova, for today there is about 200 such children in the city. "Thanks to the work of our organization more than 100 children were arranged in foster care. Total in Kazan there are about 300 foster families, and in Tatarstan - 3,5 thousand. This task is very difficult, especially when it comes to no babies, but teenagers and children with disabilities,"- she said. The organization "We are Together" has created a school to train professional parenting families to accept children. Ilsur Metshin asked Tatiana Stepanova to prepare a list of names of children and noted that this work is necessary to be conducted in detail. "Only then Kazan could be called a kind city, when there will be no lonely child. We should strive by this,"- said the Mayor.

During the round table the question on how to involve the public in charity has been raised repeatedly. No fund can exist without volunteers, but the status of social volunteers is still unclear, said the coordinator of the charitable organization "Mothers of Kazan" Alsou Zabbarova.

Director of Charity Fund "Ak Bars Creation" Alfia Valieva, in turn, offered to host a large-scale charity festival "Relay of good deeds", which would be open to all caring citizens, at 5th September, the International Day of Charity. Ilsur Metshin supported the idea of ​​the festival and also proposed to expand the format of the event that it was preceded by a series of holiday events. In her speech Alfia Valiyeva touched such issues as training for work in charitable organizations. Ilsur Metshin noted that this problem needs to be addressed in the first place and promised to help in the organization of free training seminar for employees of charities by known experts.

During the round table representatives of charities named after A.Vavilova, "Doing Good", "Alpari", "For children", "Strength in Children", "Good for nothing", organization “Large families of RT” and Development Center of volunteering of RT told on their activities. Many of them are well-known in the city due to the implementation of major social projects. Among them are the fund "In Your Favor" (formerly "Ray of Light") to implement the project "Kid Box", the organization "Mothers of Kazan" to help mothers with young children in employment and providing kids nursing care, "Good Things" fund to arrange large-scale shares at a collection of clothes and food for needy families.

Classes in hippotherapy for children with developmental disabilities, that charitable public organization "For children" organizes, is one of the interesting projects are. According to its chairman Adelina Mingazova, this kind of rehabilitation is in great demand in the city. At present, classes on a permanent basis are visited by about 100 children, and the number of parents who send their kids to the courses is increasing. The fund has three own horses. Classes in the territory of the racetrack are conducted by 5 teachers, but the fund has no own territory for therapy. Adelina Mingazova asked the Mayor for help in building own indoor arena. Ilsur Metshin instructed Natalya Grechannikova to prepare information on the number of children in need of hippotherapy. The Mayor pointed out that this work must be connected to patrons, and expressed a desire to see how the classes are held.

The outcome of today's round was the decision to establish a working group on the charity, which will include representatives of non-governmental organizations, social block of Executive Committee, entrepreneurs and media editors. Ilsur Metshin noted that the charity movement in Kazan should join as many residents, businessmen and industrialists as possible. According to the head of the city, to the activities of charitable funds were available, more transparent and more efficient,  a single electronic platform, where funds would give out information about their charges, while others can express their desire to help, need to be created in the city.

Ilsur Metshin stressed the importance of the business community to participate in the implementation of the concept of "Kind City". "Kazan has implemented major projects, known to the whole world through due to the work of companies “Taif”, "Tatneft", our large plants. Our industrialists also can boom all over the world for their charity projects,"- the Mayor said.

The round table was attended by the deputy head of the executive committee of the Social Affairs Natalia Grechannikova and heads of district administrations.
