More than 12 thousand of Kazan residents celebrated the second anniversary of the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia
(Kazan City KZN.RU, March 18, Anton Nozdrin). Massive celebration of the second anniversary of the entry of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol to the Russian Federation took place in Kazan. On this occasion at the Millennium Square a festive concert "We Are Together" was held, which was attended by more than 12.5 thousand of Kazan residents.
The ceremony was attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Deputy Prime Minister of RT Vasil Shaykhraziev, State Council deputy chairman of RT Yuri Kamaltynov, chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of RT Tatiana Vodopiyanova, head of Bakhchisarai district of Crimea Refat Derdarov and other officials.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Kazan residents with the holiday. "Today is a wonderful day and a holiday - head of the republic greeted those present. - Congratulations on the anniversary and wish that our country has always thrived!"
Recall March 16, 2014 in Crimea referendum was held, when resulted 96.77% of the population voted for the entry into the Russian Federation, and on 17 March President Vladimir Putin ordered to approve the draft of agreement on the adoption of the Republic of Crimea into the Russian Federation. Tatarstan residents together with the entire country were encouraged by the referendum initiative and joining to Russia. In the last year Kazan also hosted a concert dedicated to the anniversary of the reunification of the Crimea with Russia.
It is worth recalling that Tatarstan gave huge support to Crimea in the recovery period of economy of the Republic of Crimea. Basic assistance was provided to Bakhchisarai district. Refat Derdarov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov and all Tatarstan for support. "None of our request was left without attention," - said the head of Bakhchisaray district. R.Derdarov noted that Tatarstan has become a reliable ally and a good mentor of Crimea. "Crimeans made a choice that our children and grandchildren will be proud of. We returned Crimea to the home port", - R.Derdarov summed.
After the official part the guests of honor gave way to creative collectives of Tatarstan, who have fulfilled the festival dance and choreography numbers for the guests. Note that the festivities in honor of the anniversary of the entry of the Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia are held today in most cities in the country.
