Ilsur Metshin re-elected as the Mayor of Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, September 21, Adelia Galieva). Mayor Ilsur Metshin will continue to work on the post - majority of those present at the first session of Kazan City Duma of the third convocation deputies voted for his candidacy for the post of the Head of the municipality. A secret ballot was held at Kazan City Hall.

Three candidates from each faction, presented as part of Kazan City Duma, were nominated for the post of the Head of the municipality of the city of Kazan. Delegates of the party "United Russia" in the third stage of the XXIV conference of the Kazan local branch of the political party "United Russia" nominated Ilsur Metshin’s candidacy for the post. Deputies from the faction of the party "Fair Russia" nominated Rushaniya Bilgildeeva, the deputy from the Gabishevsky constituency. Faction "Communist Party of the Russian Federation" had nominated deputy elected by a single constituency based on party lists, Alexei Serov. 40 deputies out of 46 present at the session voted for Ilsur Metshin’s candidacy, the other candidates gained the votes by three deputies each.

Speaking at a session of Kazan City Duma, Ilsur Metshin first of all thanked all the citizens who came to the polls for their trust, saying that it is a carte blanche to work tomorrow. The Mayor recalled that Kazan is developing dynamically - everything that citizens could only dream of 10 years ago has come true: life expectancy and fertility increased. Ilsur Metshin also stressed that the quality of life in the city is the integral concept, which is composed of a variety of large and small things: repair of a house and a yard, the condition of roads and the environment. And in each of these areas the work will be continued.

"Today we are again at the beginning of the way. No yesterday's victory will be an indulgence for us, if we do not keep our promises, do not fulfill our mission. And we raised the bar very high! Our goal is to become the most comfortable Russian city for living! To occupy a niche similar to the one occupied by non-capital city as Istanbul in Turkey, Barcelona in Spain, Milan in Italy, Munich in Germany. To become an important part of the Eurasian integration on the new Silk Road. To become a city in which large-scale industry, medium and small businesses and innovation companies are actively developing. The city, which has everything for the multifaceted development of the individual "- said the Mayor.

"Very difficult tasks are before us in a very difficult time. I am sure that with such active, hard-working and tenacious people, as we have in Kazan, we will be able to make a new breakthrough! The road of congestions and errors is too much luxury in time of crisis. I believe that the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan will continue to be the foundation for all of the best projects for the transformation of Russia!"- I. Metshin said.

At the end of the speech the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took an oath.
