(Kazan City
KZN.RU, September 18, Albert Murtazin). Square "Alley of veterans of Great
Patriotic War" in the Sakharov Street in the Soviet district of Kazan
opened today after extensive renovation. Mayor Ilsur Metshin congratulated inhabitants
of the capital of Tatarstan with the opening of the renewed green zone.
The head of
the city along with other guests of the holiday examined the updated park area,
spoke with residents of the district, as well as veterans present at the
opening.
The
territory of the updated square is 13 thousand sq.m. and brings together 43
apartment buildings, which are home for more than 10 thousand inhabitants.
During the reconstruction of the territory of the park playground, outdoor
fitness area, a treadmill with a rubber coating were installed, lawns, shrubs
and flower beds were planted. In addition, a new lighting system, benches,
small architectural forms were installed in the park, new asphalt and paving
stones were laid. The main highlight of the park has become a monument to armorers,
established by the Association of Armorers the Republic of Tatarstan.
A large-scale
celebration was organized in honor of the opening of the park. Kazan residents were
able to enjoy the performance of a jazz band "Fantasy", wartime songs
performed by the ensemble "Happy Volgars", performances of the best
creative teams of the city. At the opening performances of sportsmen on street
workout, exhibition of handicrafts, fascinating workshops, action "Museum in
a suitcase", as well as traditional cultural festival "Literary yard"
were held.
