Competitions like WorldSkills raise the overall level of vocational skills, said Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin during his visit to Kazan International College of Service Industry. The mayor met with Kazan participants on the eve of the finals of the 3rd National Championship of Occupational Excellence, WorldSkills.
Addressing the students of the International College of Service Industry, Ilsur Metshin stressed that there is no limit to perfection. According to him, thanks to the championships like WorldSkills, blue-collar workers can master their skills. "Kazan needs you – talented young professionals who work with their hands. Learn and get ahead because Kazan is a take-off platform for implementing the boldest ideas," said Ilsur Metshin, wishing the students much success.
It should be reminded that the finals of the 3rd National Championship of Occupational Excellence, WorldSkills, is held in the capital of Tatarstan from May 19 to 23. Hundreds of competitors and experts from all regions of Russia will meet in Kazan, to compete for the title of best trade professional in each of the 55 skills (41 competitive and 14 presentational). At the end of the WorldSkills Russia Kazan-2015 championship, the final composition of the Russian national team will be determined, which will travel to Brazil to participate in the WorldSkills Competition championships to be held in Sao Paulo from August 11 to 16.
