Today, the Kazan City Hall hosted the award ceremony
for the winners of the «Woman of the Year» and «Man of the Year: A Woman's View»
city competition. 13 winners were honored in 10 different categories.
Every woman
is a unique universe who fills her family with warmth, as well as the whole
city. «You inspire us by your optimism and patience, every day we spend next to
you is filled with inspiration», – said Ilsur Metshin. The Mayor of
Kazan expressed his gratitude to all women for their dedication and attention
to their city.
In the «Mother
of the Year» category, the winners were Gulnara
Galiakhmetova, the head of the social adaptation center, and Ulyana Lugovtseva, the executive
director of the La Primavera Kazan Chamber Orchestra, who is also the mother of
five children.
Zifa
Gareeva, a teacher at the Zarechye Center for additional education, became the
winner in the «Woman of Culture and Spirituality» category.
Maria Eflova, a senior researcher at the
Laboratory of Sociological Research at Kazan Federal University, and Galina Aidarova, a professor at the
Institute of Architecture and Design, won in the «Woman Scientist» nomination. Svetlana Polkova, a grinder at the
Kazan Aviation Plant, were also awarded. In addition to her main activity is
developing a prototype of a special tool that has no analogues in the country. Lyudmila Alekseeva, a mentor driver at
Metroelectrotrans, received an award in the nomination.
Director of
ANO «For Victory! Kazan» Evgeniya Kotsar
were named a «Women's Leader», volunteers of the organization sent over 500
tons of humanitarian aid to the frontline.
Gulnara Fakhrieva has won in the «Businesswoman» category. She
manages construction and industrial company and is engaged in charitable work.
Nadezhda Sekretova, manager of the travel company and author of
the Kazan travel guide, has won the «Hero of the Third Age» award.
Tatiana Petrova, the director and history teacher at school №101,
has been named the «Role Model of the Year». She has personally traveled to the
special military operation area 23 times since February 2022, when a
humanitarian aid center was opened on the premises of the school.
In
addition, men were also awarded in two categories. Yuri Suvorov, the chairman of the Tatarstan Paratroopers' Union and
head of the Kazan coordinating council for aid to participants of the special
military operation. Andrey Belyakov,
director of the Briz company, won the «Man of Noble Heart» award for his work in
construction of residential buildings for defrauded shareholders and his
ongoing support for the military.
