Sports Park: a running track, an amphitheater by the water and a pier for triathletes
The project of Sports Park, which will be located on the embankment of the Millennium Bridge, was presented by architect Pavel Medvedev (architectural bureau “Architectural Desant”).
Sports Park will be part of a single ecosystem of coastal parks along the Kazanka River. According to the idea of architects, the public space should become a magnet for athletes and residents of nearby houses. The territory of the public space will harmoniously combine the natural area with the sports infrastructure - the Ak Bars Arena Stadium, the Aquatics Palace and the Ak Bars Wrestling Palace.
The concept provides for playgrounds and sports areas at the park. Several recreation areas will be created – a pier with a view of the Millennium Bridge and an amphitheater by the water.
The Mayor of Kazan asked the architectural bureau for further elaboration of the concept of the park, in particular, to provide planting trees. In addition, I. Metshin proposed to establish an interactive museum of the major sporting events that took place in the capital of Tatarstan.
Park at the Salavat Kupere: a lake, an extreme park and a cultural center with a roof in the form of an amphitheater
A new public space in the Salavat Kupere district with an area of 6 hectares will be located at the intersection of Nail Yusupov and Alfiya Avzalova streets. The park will comprise three zones: sports, public and recreation areas.
Karina Davletyanova, an architect of ZARF architectural bureau, reported that last year utilities were routed on the territory, trees were planted, asphalt concrete pavement was laid, in addition, the territory for a playground, sports and extreme area has already been prepared.
The Mayor of Kazan instructed to pay special attention to the sports area.
This year, the second stage of the construction will be carried out, which includes the creation of a recreation area and an area for activities.

Daria Tolovenkova, deputy chief architect of Kazan, head of the creative group at the Mayor's Office of the city, presented the concept of the improvement of the Fisherman's Garden in the Admiralteyskaya Sloboda.
The emphasis in the park will be focused on the central object – a sculpture of a fisherman will be restored on the fountain. The flowerpots and the entrance group to the park will also be recreated.
There will also be a sports area with exercise equipment, a football pitch with an amphitheater, a tennis court, and an area for activities.
The park will have an original lighting design – there will be retro- style lanterns and garlands. Different plants will decorate the park as well.
The head of the city noted that the quality of small architectural forms, as well as the material of the pavement should be at a high level.
The square of the 100th anniversary of Tatarstan construction industry: an ice rink on the fountain and an art installation
This year it is planned to reconstruct the square of the 100th anniversary of Tatarstan construction industry, the public space is located in the Sovetsky district along Karbyshev and Richard Sorge streets.
Architect Ruzal Farkhullin (Platforma architectural bureau) reported that visually the park is divided into two parts – a site with a fountain and a square with green spaces.
The fountain is located in the central part of the square, for safety its depth is planned to be reduced to 1 meter. Following the example of the Black Lake Park, an ice rink will be flooded in winter and a New Year tree will be installed in its center.
The park will be not only a place of recreation, but also an educational platform: it is planned to install information stands on the construction industry of the republic.
The highlight of the park will be an art installation- a sculpture on which the famous quote: “Not everyone is given to live so generously, to give to the people of the city as a gift”.
Svetlaya Dolina Park: a barbecue area, yoga zone and bike path
This year, the construction of the Svetlaya Dolina (Light Valley) Park will begin – a 3 km long park will be located along the Noksa River from the Vesna residential complex to the Green residential complex. “The embankment of the Noksa River is the only walking area for residents of these neighborhoods, which is why we will focus specifically on it,”- said architect Ruzal Farkhullin.
Several zones will be created in the park: sports, walking, as well as an area for activities. There will also be a site for yoga classes and a pump track. At the request of residents, it is planned to place a barbecue area here.
