The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin joined the city charity event “Letter to Father
Frost”. He will fulfill the wish of 7-year-old Ranel Sabirov, who dreams of a
big colorful book by Alexander Pushkin. A New Year’s tree decorated with balls with
video postcards from children is installed at the Kazan City Hall. New Year's
wishes of children will also be fulfilled by deputies and heads of structural
divisions of the Executive Committee of the city, citizens can also take part
in the event.
The New Year’s tree on the second floor of the City Hall is decorated with
balls with QR codes linked to video messages from children.
Ilsur Metshin chose a ball with a video postcard of 7-year-old Ranel
Sabirov. “Dear Father Frost, my name is Ranel. I go to school. I am a first-grade
student and I want to get a gift from you - a large book by Alexander Pushkin”,
- the boy says. It is this wish that the Mayor of Kazan will have to fulfill.
“We will definitely fulfill the wishes of our young friend, and I believe
that dreams of thousands of Kazan children will come true. I wish you all good
health, happiness, prosperity, warmth and all the best in the New Year”, -
Ilsur Metshin said.
The “Letter to Father Frost” event is held in Kazan for the tenth time.
Children from large, low-income families, children with disabilities, as well
as children in social institutions aged 3 to 12 years write their New Year
wishes on postcards. Anyone can choose one of the cards on a special New Year’s
tree decorated with these postcards and fulfill a child's dream.
New Year’s trees with balls and postcards from children are also installed
in the district administrations and at the Tatneft Arena during the home
matches of the Ak Bars hockey club. The New Year’s tree, previously located at
the City Hall, will be installed in the Executive Committee of Kazan today.
