Ilsur Metshin: "I have my own ways of getting feedback"

(KZN.RU, February 29, by Ekaterina Andreeva) Everyone chooses his own way of communication and getting information, and need not necessarily use a social network like Twitter. This opinion was expressed by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin on the "In Focus" show on Efir TV.

Lenar, a viewer of the live show, asked Ilsur Metshin when the head of the city will appear on Twitter. "Currently, there are about 6,000 Twitter users in Tatarstan, 3,000 of them living in Kazan. We are waiting for you to appear there," said Lenar.

The mayor replied that he has "his own ways of getting feedback." "Today we’re on a live show. You got through to me, and I answered your question. After the broadcast, I will respond with a personal signature to those who were unable to get through,” said I.Metshin. The mayor also reminded the viewers that Kazan mayor’s Internet reception works 24 hours a day. "Last year alone we responded to 21,000 calls and letters,” continued the mayor. “We give careful attention to all problems.”

The mayor of Kazan considers meetings with the public and personal reception of citizens a priority. "We try to maintain personal contacts," said I.Metshin.

"Many important problems were solved last year," said I.Metshin stressing that there are no secondary issues for the city authorities.

"I dream about the day when the only remaining problem in our city will be the mayor's absence on Twitter," summed up the mayor.
