Ilsur Metshin,
Kazan Mayor, got acquainted with the reconstruction of the cultural center of railway
workers in the village of Yudino. The cultural center is planned to open on the
Republic Day and City Day, the Mayor informed.
The cultural center of railway workers recognized as a
cultural heritage site, was built in 1959. Last year, on behalf of Tatarstan
President Rustam Minnikhanov, the cultural center was included into the cultural
facilities overhaul program.
The overhaul of the cultural center started in June,
2019. To date, according to the contractors, the main part of the work has
already been completed.
“We save all the important
elements and create a perfect synthesis of modern and historical styles”
The mayor of Kazan inspected the large hall of the cultural
center, which can accommodate up to 500 people.
While designing the renovation project, specialists
sought to preserve the historical appearance of the building, to bring all the
important elements of decoration from the past to the present day. “We not only
preserve all the stucco, but also partially recreate the historical interiors,
- project designer Regina Suyundukova told the Mayor. – We even lay the parquet
boards in some halls as it was in time of opening of the center, recreate the paneling
with wooden sheets. This is my first experience working with cultural heritage
sites, but I am already glad that this is a perfect synthesis of modern and
historical styles”.
In addition to the main hall, two more multifunctional
halls with a smaller capacity will be created in the center. Ilsur Metshin
inspected the halls and interested what activities will be organized there.
According to R. Suyundukova, a variety of creative activities will be held
there. “A small stage, backstage for performances and rehearsals will be built
in one of the multifunctional halls. It will be possible to hold New Year’s
fests and parties there. Large mirrors and ballet bar for dance classes will be
installed there,” - she explained.
In the second multifunctional hall, according to the
designer, a projector with a screen will be installed for video presentations.
In addition, it is also planned to improve the
surrounding area of the building. The project of improvement was presented to
the Mayor by the deputy chief architect Daria Tolovenkova. She said that it is
planned to create a fountain in front of the cultural center, as well as to build
a playground and a recreation area.
“Our dreams come true: that
Kazan villages will have the same living conditions as the downtown”
Before closing for the renovation, there were 7 budget
clubs and non-budgetary clubs in various areas of sports and creative
development.
After the overhaul, new classes will open in the center.
“Children, as well as elderly people will be able to spend
time in the classes here. There is something here for everyone – said Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. – It is important that conditions are provided for
performances and rehearsals of professional artists and music bands. We are
looking forward to the opening of this cultural center, and we plan to make a
gift to the citizens by August 30 - the Republic Day and City Day”.
“Our dreams come true: that Kazan villages, such as
Derbyshki, Yudino and others, will have the same living conditions as the downtown,
and citizens would not have to travel far to listen to professional artists, engage
in creative activities or sports. With the opening of the cultural center of
railway workers, all conditions for interesting leisure time will be created
for citizens of Yudino”, - the Mayor noted.
