June 4). A festive namaz on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of
the holy month of Ramadan, was held today at the Galeevskaya Mosque of Kazan.
Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the
Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Damir
Fattakhov, the minister of Youth Affairs of the RT, Farid Abdulganiev, the
minister of Economy of the RT, attended the event.
The festive
sermon was held by Kamil khazrat Samigullinm the mufti of the RT. He read a
congratulatory telegram from Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia. The head
of state noted that Eid al-Fitr leads believers to the high spiritual and moral
values of Islam, to the traditions and customs of their ancestors, encourages
goodness and mercy, and care for those who need help and support. “I am
convinced that the Muslim community of Russia will continue to actively
participate in the life of the country. They will contribute to the
preservation of our invaluable historical, cultural, spiritual heritage by
productive activities. I wish you peace, well-being and all the best”, said in
the telegram.

residents of the republic.

Samigullin noted that in August of this year, the capital of Tatarstan will
host the WorldSkills Kazan 2019. Many of the prophets in Islam had working
professions. There were carpenters, farmers, and others among them.
