M. Shaimiev presented the letter of gratitude of the Republican Foundation “Vozrozhdenie” to I. Metshin.

(KZN.RU, December 26). The ceremony of awarding the winners of the republican public competition “Leader of the Year-2018” was held today in Kazan. The event took place at the GTRK “Korston”.

The guests of the ceremony were Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Counselor of the RT, Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT, and Alexey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT.

Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the guests and participants of the event with a welcoming speech. He said that the guest of honor today is Boris Kuznetsov, the Hero of the Soviet Union, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Today he celebrates his birthday, he turned 93 years old. “Thank you for being with us today”, said Rustam Minnikhanov to the veteran.

Speaking about the competition “Leader of the Year”, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that there are criteria for the selection of laureates and rules for holding the competition. “But I will not divide you into leading and following,” he addressed those present. “I think that we have a wonderful team of leaders, commanders of production, thanks to which the republic and the country develop. The economy of the republic is a serious part of the economy of our entire country. And those projects that we are implementing are projects of a nationwide scale. According to estimates, the volume of industrial production in Tatarstan in 2018 will be about 2 trillion 750 billion rubles, gross regional product – 2 trillion 400 billion rubles or more, the volume of investments in fixed assets will be about 650-670 billion rubles. And I think these are very significant numbers. Tatarstan is the leading region, the leading industrial and agro-industrial subject of the federation. And all this is realized thanks to the very team that present here. Huge words of gratitude to all our business leaders! About 1 trillion rubles of social, tax and other types of payments is formed on the territory of our republic. Tatarstan is one of the leading payers to the federal budget”.

Rustam Minnikhanov also reminded that 38 republican programs are being implemented in the region. The budget of these programs is more than 40 billion rubles. 27 billion rubles accounts for the road infrastructure, about 2.5 thousand for new construction objects and major repairs implemented throughout the country. “We can do all this thanks to the potential that is in your units, your enterprises”, Rustam Minnikhanov addressed to the heads of enterprises. “Thank you for your work. Please tell the words of sincere gratitude to your work collectives on behalf of the Government, the parliament. Thank you for your work for the benefit of our republic and our country!”

During the event, Rustam Minnikhanov presented a number of state awards to managers and specialists of leading industrial enterprises (the title “Honored Chemist of the Russian Federation”, medals of the RT “For Valiant Labor”, the title “Honored Mechanical Engineer of the RT”, the title “Honored Worker of the Food Industry of the RT”), reports the press service of the President of the RT.

Alexey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT and the chairman of the competition commission, announced that the competition commission summed up the results. The list of participants was formed on the basis of recommendations of ministries, departments, city and municipal formations, and employers' associations. In total, 103 managers were recommended for participation in the competition, 85 of them became nominees. “All winners are united by the ability to set goals and achieve them”, said Alexey Pesoshin. The laureates were awarded golden badges and diplomas of the competition.

Further, Mintimer Shaimiev presented the ninth volume of the Book of philanthropists and letters of gratitude of the Foundation “Vozrozhdenie”. Thus, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, received a letter of gratitude.
