An ethno-confessional festival “Mosaic of Cultures” is held near the Family Center “Kazan”
(KZN.RU, August 30). The IV republican ethno-confessional festival “Mosaic of Cultures” takes place in the capital of Tatarstan, near the Family Center “Kazan”. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the site of the festival. Today, the final stage of the Festival of National Literatures of the Peoples of Russia was held there.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all guests of the holiday with the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Day of Kazan. Tatarstan is a multi-ethnic and multi-confessional republic, he marked.
“Today, representatives of more than 130 nationalities live in our region in peace and harmony. Confirmation of these words is the festival “Mosaic of Cultures”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.
According to the President of the RT, it is very important to preserve the identity of each people: religion, traditions, language. “We are all different. And this is the strength of our country”, noted the President of the RT.
Rustam Minnikhanov visited various tents equipped with religious organizations and representatives of national public associations of the republic.
The exhibition “City of Masters” was organized on the site. It included an exhibition of national costumes, folk crafts, souvenirs, and national cuisine. The exhibition “Religion as a part of the culture” includes presentation and photo exhibitions, the work of restorers of Russian painting, an exhibition of books of Orthodox and Islamic religious culture.
In addition, guests of the “Mosaic of Cultures” could get acquainted with master classes on calligraphy, artistic forging, gold embroidery, and pottery, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
