Celebratory prayers were held in Kazan mosques
(KZN.RU, June 15). Celebratory events took place in the mosques of Kazan in honor of Eid al-Fitr. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and others attended the festive divine service that took place in the Galeevskaya mosque.
Ceremonial sermon and namaz in the Galeevskaya mosque were held by Kamil khazrat Samigullin, the Chairman of the Muslim Religious Board of the RT.
The Mufti of the RT read congratulatory telegrams on the occasion of the end of the post and the holiday of Eid al-Fitr from Vladimir Putin, the President of the RF and Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT.
Kamil hazrat Samigullin told about the fasting of the month of Ramadan, quoted the verses and sayings of the prophet Mohammed. In particular, the mufti noted that huge benefit is rendered to the physical and spiritual condition of a person lay in observance of fasting in the month of Ramadan.
Then, a festive namaz was held in the Galeevskaya mosque, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
