(KZN.RU,
June 4, Ksenia Shvetsova). The Kazan charitable and public organizations
received 100 million more this year during the competition for grants of the
President of the Russian Federation. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan,
believes that this is a great merit of the urban project “Good Kazan”. The
total amount of support for Kazan projects amounted to 116 million 517 thousand
463 rubles.
“Presidential
grants are an invaluable aid for charitable public organizations. The decision
of the state to provide such support is a big step forward for our entire
society. It is the encouragement of active communities that have chosen an
arduous path of philanthropy and charity in favor of people who need help”,
noted I. Meshin. “Thanks to the President of the country that such projects are
supported”.
Last
Friday, it became known that 58 projects from Tatarstan, including 32 projects
submitted by Kazan public organizations, became winners of the first contest of
socially significant projects in 2018.
Damir
Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, said at the staff
meeting that the largest grants were given to projects submitted for the
competition under the auspices of the city project “Good Kazan”, implemented by
the City Hall in 2016. Those are the Russian cultural and charitable festival
“Good Wave” and the rehabilitation project for visually impaired at the Center
“Yardem”.
“The
festival “Good Wave” is a joint project of the Kazan City Hall and the Academy
of Popular Music of Igor Krutoy”, reminded D. Fattakhov. “The movement, created
specifically for children in difficult life situation, traditionally will unite
orphans, children without parental care, children from large and poor families,
children with disabilities, and many others on the same stage”.
Thanks to
the support of the presidential grant this year, the festival will
significantly expand its geography. According to the speaker, the qualifying
zonal stages of the festival will be held in 9 Russian cities. The presentation
of the project on such large and significant international projects as
“Children's New Wave” and ‘Junior Eurovision” has already taken place.
The gala
concert of the All-Russian festival will be held in Kazan. On November 30, it
will gather talented children with pop stars. D. Fattakhov told that the
participation in a concert was confirmed by Philipp Kirkorov, Sergey Lazarev,
and Dina Garipova.
Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that the “Good Wave” is a unique project of
its kind that helps children to make their dreams come true. “There is a state
program for the medical support of children with disabilities, for
rehabilitation. But there is no such state support for the development of
creative potential, for the implementation of their dreams”, said I. Metshin.
“The grant allocated for the development of the festival is a good example of
how we can work together in this direction”.
Significant
support in the contest was given to the project “See and hear with the heart”,
presented by the National Islamic Charitable Fund “Yardem” (9.9 million
rubles). The project aims at organizing complex rehabilitation of 5 groups of
visually impaired or disabled people with complete loss of vision.
D.
Fattakhov also noted such projects as a social shelter “Kolybel” of the
protection of motherhood and childhood center “Umilenie”, the festival's debut
documentary film “Mine” from the Center of Contemporary Culture “Smena”, Kazan
Hospice organized by the fund of Anzhela Vavilova , which received 2.924 million
rubles and others.
“The
victory in the contest of our Kazan funds is, in many respects, the merit of
the city project “Good Kazan”, said I. Metshin. “We conducted forums, invited
both venerable funds and public organizations that already have many years of
experience and fame throughout the country, and beginning funds. The most
important thing is coaching, within which they can learn how to properly apply
for grants and organize work”.
The Mayor
marked that the victory in the competition is the result of common efforts. “We
organized a systematic joint work with active, concerned citizens, public
organizations, funds that today create a “Good Wave” in Kazan”, said I.
Metshin. According to the head of the city, today the capital of Tatarstan is experiencing
a new stage in the development of charity. Thanks to the project “Good Kazan”,
city residents can get accurate information about funds they need to address in
difficult situations, what they specialize in and which of them can be trusted.
