The Mayor of Kazan urged to continue work on lighting the RC “Salavat Cupere” and urban settlements

(KZN.RU, March 12, Alsu Safina). A systematic work to illuminate city streets, settlements, roads, public spaces is held in Kazan. In 2017, the length of the outdoor lighting lines increased by 73 km and is 2667 km, and the number of outdoor lighting points in the city increased by 2.3 thousand up to 80 thousand

“The degree of illumination of the city speaks about the status, the brighter the city, the more significant it is”, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, commented at the Business Monday on the results of activities of the “Kazenergo” for 2017. “You come to the best, richest cities in the world and there is no difference between day and night, they are equally bright. We cannot set ourselves such a task due to the budget. But we are striving to make the city bright and we work for this goal every year”.

According to the head of the city, it is important that in the past year Kazan gained “more bright spots”. The Mayor drew attention to the work carried out in the residential complex “Salavat Cupere”. Last year, the “Kazenergo” carried out large-scale works on organizing street lighting: 152 light points were installed. “This work must continue”, marked Ilsur Metshin.

Rustam Abdulkhakov, the general director of the AO “Kazenergo”, said that last year the illumination of the ski track was improved in Pobedy Park, the reconstructed parks of Uritsky and Krylya Sovetov, the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest and the square along Syirtlanova Street.

“There were a lot of appeals before they started the reconstruction of the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest. Today it is safe to walk there at any time of the day and night, as in other parks”, said the Mayor of Kazan. According to him, now various activities take place in the city parks during the day, in addition, many citizens visit them in the evening.

I. Metshin noted the importance of road lighting because it is not just the comfort but the road safety. “We are trying to maintain the standards of road illumination”, said the Mayor.

Much work is to be done in the villages. The general director of the “Kazenergo” said that 1374 LED lamps installed in the villages of Kazan within the program for restoring lighting in the settlements of the RT. The implementation of this program will continue, assured R. Abdulkhakov.

The “Kazenergo” is working on the transition to the management of outdoor lighting using an automated control system. Today, 667 points out of 836 points of inclusion equipped with an automated control system (or 80% of their total number). It is planned to achieve 88% of the automation of the control of outdoor lighting in 2018 and the degree of automation about 100% by 2019.

The Mayor of Kazan noted that the company performs important tasks for the city providing light and warmth. “These are the most important factors in ensuring the life of our city”, believes I. Metshin. Along with the fulfillment of these tasks, the collective of the “Kazenergo” actively participates in sports events and amateur performances. The Mayor urged the city business leaders to pay attention to these areas.
