(KZN.RU,
December 25, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). The cultural and recreational complex
named after Lenin was opened after an overhaul. Today, the first New Year
celebration for the children of the Aviastroitelny district was held in the
building after repairs. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, and Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the reconstruction work today.
The works
in the building were completed in record time, starting in March 2017. The building
with a total area of 9292.3 square meters was repaired from the inside and
outside. The walls were reinforced, the roof was replaced, and the finishing
work was done.
Specialists
managed to preserve the elements of Soviet neoclassicism and the Stalin Empire.
The walls are painted in a soft beige color, the panels depicting the working
people are updated on the stairwells between the first and second floor, and
the new parquet is laid on the floor. There are no bold signs and modern glass
doors in the complex, and the wardrobe is finished with wood. The cinema hall,
dance classrooms, the sports hall, and the spacious foyer were completely
renovated.
The house
of culture named after Lenin serves the micro-district “Sotsgorod” and part of
the Moskovsky district. 49 club formations work on the basis of a complex, in
which 2 thousand people participate. Every year up to 370 events are held here,
which are visited by more than 200 thousand people. During the overhaul, all
club formations were located in the educational institutions and art schools of
the city. But they can return now because the HoC named after Lenin is
officially opened.
“This house
of culture is in demand. For many years, it required to be repaired”, said
Rustam Minnikhanov. "I want it to be provided to our children and adults
so that they can engage in creativity”.
The
building has the status of a newly discovered object of cultural heritage.
According to Irina Aksenova, the main architect of the restoration project, a
well-known architect-restorer, it wasn’t easy to preserve the historical
appearance of the building, because many internal elements were badly worn.
“There were
a lot of visitors here. In Soviet times, it was the cultural and leisure center
of the largest district”, she said. “During the overhaul, a colossal amount of
historical and archival research was carried out”.
Denis
Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, Damir Fattakhov, the first
deputy head of the Executive Committee, Airat Sibagatullin, the Minister of
Culture of the RT, Timur Alibayev, the head of the Aviastroitelniy and
Novo-Savinovsky districts’ administration of Kazan, Azat Abzalov, the head of
the Department of Culture, the deputies of the State Council of the RT and
others also attended the event.
The HoC
named after Lenin entered the program of overhauling the houses of culture,
initiated by the head of the republic. The decision to carry out a
comprehensive overhaul was taken in August 2016. There are 245 rooms in it,
including 2 auditoriums for 780 and 200 persons, 15 leisure facilities, and 4
workstations.
Next year
the House of Culture will be built in the Konstantinovka village within the
framework of the republican program for the construction of rural clubs.
