Kazan took the first place by the results of the sanitary-ecological two-month period
(KZN.RU, June 3). Kazan won the first place in the republican contest held as part of a Tatarstan sanitary and ecological two-month period to clean up settlements from garbage and putting territories in order. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, presented the award to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, at the republican meeting in the Government House of the RT.
The Nizhnekamsk municipal district won the third place among municipalities and the cup was handed to Aidar Metshin, the head of the Nizhnekamsky municipal district. The second place was taken by Yelabuzhsky municipal district, and Gennady Emelyanov, the district’s head, received the award. The first place was given to Almetyevsky municipal district, and Rustam Minnikhanov presented the award to Airat Khayrullin, the head of the district.
The first place in the competition among city districts was given to the city of Kazan and the award was presented to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the city.
Farid Abdulganiyev, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RT, said that more than 1127 people took part in the sanitary-ecological two-month period to clean up settlements from garbage and put the territories in order in Tatarstan (April 1 – May 31, 2017), more than 13 thousand units of equipment were involved, more than 1.2 million trees and shrubs seedlings were planted, and more than 650 thousand cubic meters of waste was transported to landfills, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
