I. Metshin inspects construction of the sewage pumping station “Zarechnaya”

(KZN.RU, January 18, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, today inspected the construction progress of the sewage pumping station “Zarechnaya”. It is planned to complete the first construction phase of this important and necessary for the city infrastructure facility at the end of October this year.

Construction of a new sewage pumping station in the Kirovsky district of Kazan was started in October last year. The first phase of the project includes the construction of the SPS with the installation of the process equipment, the connecting gravity sewers, pressure gravity sewers to a switch camera, transformer substation, and power supply networks. The new facility will ensure the smooth operation of the sewage system, the implementation of new investment projects, including the connection of more than 50 under construction houses and social facilities to the network. The first phase of construction is carried out by the investment program MUE “Vodokanal”.

Azat Nigmatzyanov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, and Denis Lukoyanov, the chief engineer of the contractor company OOO “BT Stroyengineering”, reported in detail on the progress and details of the first phase of construction to Ilsur Metshin today.

“Today we are engaged in grouting piles immersion and immersion method of cameras’ sunken wells that will further proceed with the microtunnelling. A. Nigmatzyanov reported the head of the city that according to the schedule, the object must be put into operation at the end of October this year and marked that the delivery of the pump station allow building of 1.5 million square meters housing in the territories, which are limited today.

“Today, the SPS is a key to the entire building complex of Kazan, because if it is not passed and does not untie the knot, we actually have to stop construction over the river”, reminded Azat Nigmatzyanov.

The second phase involves the construction of a new reservoir with pressure of 1400 mm in diameter, which will go to the sewage treatment plant.

Working since 1973, SPS “Verhnyaya” is on the brink of disaster and is no longer able to pump the required amount of sewage. The design capacity of the station does not meet the needs of rapidly growing city: it serves Kirovsky, Aviastroitelny, Moskovsky, Novo-Savinovsky districts and the Derbyshki village. Developed in 2014, project documentation for the construction of the SPS “Zarechnaya” has passed the examination and received a positive opinion. The SPS “Zarechnaya” will be fully automated. High-tech pumping equipment will be installed at the station, as well as the filtration and air purification.
