December 25). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, visited the
exhibition center “The Panorama of the City” this morning. Olesya Baltusova,
the assistant of the President of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Office
of the President, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Airat Sibagatullin, the
Minister of Culture of the RT, Irek Faizullin, rgw Minister of Construction,
Architecture and Housing of the RT, and others took part in the exhibition
center tour.
The
exhibition center is located in Kazan (the street Dzerzhinsky, 7), the exposure
of Kazan development is located here, the stages of development of the city and
its architecture and history are presented.
Acquaintance
with the exposition begins in the lobby of the first floor: there is a screen,
which provides information about the main areas of the exhibition center, as
well as demonstrated a video about Kazan. Olga Valeeva, the director of the “The
Panorama of the City”, gave explanations during the inspection.
The
exhibition “Kazan labyrinth” is placed on the second floor. You can get
acquainted with the life of the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda of Kazan, archival
photographs and other documents are presented in showcases.
The
attraction “Flying over the city” is located in the next room: the eight-meter
screen (video wall) shows pictures of Kazan panoramic shooting from bird's-eye
view. The screen is controlled with a joystick: you can find and look closer to
the details in 3D mode of any place in the city.
The
video-panorama circular room is located here as well: short animated films on
the history of the city will be shown on the screen, occupying all 360˚. Rustam
Minnikhanov and others were shown an animated film about the old history of
Kazan and the appearance of the snake Zilant on the emblem of the city, which
is the guardian of Kazan, according to legends.
One of the
premises of the second floor is styled as an old tram: there are benches,
puppet-conductor, and the panorama of the old city in the windows.
A part of
the space on the second floor is the area with sofas and tablets, so that
visitors can sit down and read information about Kazan on their own.
City models
occupy the third floor. This is a full-scale model of modern urban construction
in the scale of 1:320, the XVIII century historical model of the city in the
scale of 1:400 and the model of the city with surrounding territories of the
Kazan Khanate times in XV-XVI centuries in a scale of 1:1000.
Thus, the
model of the central part of the modern Kazan area exceeds 170 square meters.
More than 7,000 buildings with all infrastructures placed on its surface. All
models of the houses are an exact copy of their originals. 6000 miniature
street lighting lamps installed to illuminate the model.
There is
the attraction “Augmented reality” in the exhibition center: visitors can make
pictures of themselves with historical characters, which alternately succeed
each other on the display wall. A screen with an interactive quiz on the Kazan
history installed here, you can choose an easy task and more difficult
questions in the quiz.
All
visitors will receive at the entrance the tablets, audio guides with individual
headphones for self-guided tours on the exhibition. Cafes and a children's area
will operate. The complex is designed for the simultaneous visit of 120 people.
All
expositions are created using modern digital technologies.
Historical
material is presented in very interesting way, said Rustam Minnikhanov,
estimating a tour of the exhibition center. He asked when the center will be
open to everyone, and suggested to the organizers to consider the possibility
of opening already during the winter school holidays. This will be especially
interesting for children, said Rustam Minnikhanov, they will find a lot to see
and learn.
It is
expected that many tourists, guests of Kazan will visit the exhibition center “The
Panorama of the City” in the future. Guided tours will be organized for
students of the municipal districts of the republic, reports the press-service
